I learned more in a few weeks of Afterguard's ASA instructor clinics than from over 20 years of sailing as a race boat owner and active sailor. The clinics helped to fill in the blank spots I didn't know I had.

Stopping by Sausalito on our catamaran charter, we entangled the port prop and saildrive with a pool toy. Didn't know what in the ebb line was snagged at the time. We continued using just one engine. Docking at Sam's restaurant on one engine was a feat. Felt like a hero.
