A one-time $575 initiation fee is required to join as a member. This fee is waived when enrolling in three or more courses at the time of joining.

Charter

Boat Sponsorship

Chief, Skipper, and Captain levels are eligible for Afterguard's boat sponsorship program. The Boat Sponsorship Program is perfect for members who want more time on the water and a closer relationship with a specific vessel. Sponsors choose a favorite boat to focus on and receive the benefits associated with that boat’s membership tier (Chief, Skipper, or Captain). In exchange, Sponsors trade time helping care for their chosen boat, assisting with upkeep, readiness, and light maintenance, in return for additional sail time beyond the pre-paid 2.5  charter days per month. Sponsors have a more flexible charter arrangement that gives committed sailors deeper access and more learning experiences, while supporting the fleet. Ideal for members who want to sail often, want to mentor others, or are considering boat ownership in the future.
