​Joining Afterguard as a member is a great way to expand your sailing skills, access a fleet of boats affordably, and become part of a welcoming community. Members enjoy these key benefits:

 

1. Initiation Fee Waiver Option

   Enroll in a course at full price, and that course can count toward the three needed to waive the $575 initiation fee, valid for up to 30 days after a full-price course.

2. Course Discounts

   Members receive 20% off all courses. Save even more when combining a group of course enrollments.

3. Boat Rental Savings

   Members enjoy 40% off all boat rentals.

4. Included Boat Use

   Chief, Skipper, and Captain Memberships, as well as Boat Sponsors, get 2.5 days of pre-paid charters per month. Need more time? Just let us know. Skipper, Captain, and Boat Sponsor members can also lead Club Sails as Club Skipper Mentors to for additional sailing time.

5. Weekly Practice Sails

   Join us for regular Sunday afternoon and Thursday/Friday evening practice sails. Each member can apply 1 dues credit ($59 value) per week if solo or duo members.

   Optionally, that $59 credit can be applied to the “1st Sunday” Full-Day Bay Practice Sail.

6. Birthday Sail

   Get a free practice sail during your birthday month, just be sure your birth date is on your member profile.

7. Priority Access

   Members get first-call priority to register for limited-space courses, destination sails, and special events.

8. Crew Call Opportunities

   Join the Crew Call Group to crew on skippered charters to gain more experience.

9. Library & Lounge Access

   Enjoy our in-house sailing library, Friday Movie Nights (with popcorn!), games, and music.

    Interested in owning a boat someday? Become a Sponsor Member and volunteer to learn the full scope of boat care and ownership. Can purchase 50% or 100% of a fleet boat to become a charter boat owner.
