The islands are said to feel like sailing through a Garden of Eden. The Seychelles is an exotic cruising ground of breathtaking beauty said to be the most beautiful island group in the world.

With many stops to choose from this schedule is a general plan to see the best and most memorable islands. There are many other islands we could explore instead of these stops but we do only have 10 days. If you have ideas - share

Day 1: Mahé – Eden Island Marina Load up and check out. Use the day to provision and board at 4pm

(2.5 nautical miles to Saint Anne Marine Park) Sept 30th

For our catamaran charter from Mahé, boarding takes place at Eden Island Marina, a short distance from the capital Victoria. While in town, it’s worth visiting the Clock Tower as well as the covered market, known for its spices and local fruits. Can overnight in the marina to enjoy the city or... If spent the day in town, might want to sail 2.5 miles to anchor off St. Anne. St Anne is a premier destination for snorkeling. Depends on the amount of daylight once check in is complete. St Anne may be our first or last night depending.

Day 2: Anse Royale (10 nm) Oct 1st

Anse Royale is a well-protected bay with a beautiful white sandy beach and calm waters, making it an ideal spot for our second night. Snorkelling along the rocky areas at the edge of the beach is very rewarding. A few restaurants right by the water offer a relaxed setting for dinner out.

Day 3: La Digue (30 nm) Oct 2nd

The longest leg of the route is perfect for fishing. Most local captains catch the crew's dinner on such passages. La Digue is a special treat. Very few cars on the island, so getting around is by ox-cart, bicycle or on foot. Runners will love it.

Anse Source d’Argent is one of the most photographed beaches in the world: huge pink granite boulders set in crystal-clear water… almost surreal.

Plan to visit L’Union Estate. It has a Creole plantation house, vanilla plantation, local art gallery and rum distillary. It is worth the small fee for a visit. There are giant tortois that roam their beach.

Day 4: Félicité (3 nm) Oct 3rd

Félicité is a small island, a private paradise known for its stunning natural beauty and exclusivity. The island boasts pristine white sand beaches, crystal-clear turquoise waters, and lush tropical vegetation. Félicité offers excellent opportunities for snorkeling and diving, with vibrant coral reefs and diverse marine life just offshore. Hawksbill turtles, leopard rays, and brightly colored reef fish have all been spotted here – even with just a mask and snorkel

Day 5: Coco Island (2 nm) Oct 4th

Coco Island is one of those places that stays with you long after you’ve left. The small island remains untouched, the water is exceptionally clear, and the seabed begins just a few metres from the shore. It’s one of the best diving and snorkelling spots in the Seychelles. The colors that are simply incredible. It’s best to set aside a full day here to fully enjoy everything at a relaxed pace.

Day 6: Grande Soeur (2 nm) Oct 5th

Grande Soeur, also known as Big Sister Island, is a beautiful private island in the Seychelles, renowned for its unspoiled natural beauty and exclusivity. The island features stunning white sand beaches, crystal-clear waters, and lush tropical forests. Grande Soeur is a haven for snorkeling and diving enthusiasts, with vibrant coral reefs and diverse marine life.

Day 7: Curieuse (8 nm) Oct 6th

Curieuse Island, Turtle Pond, is a notable attraction within the island's protected marine reserve. This natural habitat is home to a large population of Aldabra giant tortoises, offering visitors a unique opportunity to observe these magnificent creatures up close. The pond is surrounded by lush vegetation and provides a serene setting for exploring the island's rich biodiversity. Turtle Pond is a must-visit location.

Day 8: Baie St. Anne - Praslin (8 nm) Oct 7th

Baie St. Anne is a bustling bay that serves as the main port of Praslin, pop 6,000, offering access to the island’s pristine beaches and lush tropical forests. Sailors can explore the nearby Vallée de Mai Nature Reserve, home to the famous Coco de Mer palms. Baie St. Anne’s crystal-clear waters are perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and diving

Day 9: Cousin Island (9 nm) Oct 8th

Cousin Island is a protected nature reserve renowned for its rich biodiversity and pristine natural environment. This small granitic island is a haven for birdwatchers, home to numerous endemic bird species, including the Seychelles warbler and the Seychelles magpie-robin. Cousin Island also boasts beautiful white sand beaches and vibrant coral reefs, making it an excellent spot for snorkeling and observing marine life.

Day 10: Mahe (22nm) Oct 9th exit at 8 am Oct 10th.

Return to enjoy our last night at the Marina. We do a Pot-Luck either on the last night or the last island before heading in. Helps to use up any provisions we didn't get to. If out, we eat out.

Need to spend some of the evening packing up and preparing the boat to turn back to the base for the check-out procedure.
