ASA 209 Small Boat Asst.

ASA 210 Small Boat Instructor

  • Must be 18 years of age or older

  • Possess at least 3 years sailing experience

  • Have teaching experience or can demonstrate an aptitude for clearly communicating sailing concepts to the novice sailor

  • Current CPR/First Aid Certification

  • Are capable of performing the standards described in the official certification logbook

First you must sail a small boat' great book but... though not necessarily true, no question small boat sailing helps both adults and youth to become better sailors. 

 

Clinic includes 2 very long days, or 2.5 days. It includes examples of classroom briefings and land drills, swim test, sailing skills and drills finishing with a written test.

Both 209 Asst and 210 Instructors need to operate a chase boat, set marks and pickup capsized students.
