ASA 201

190: Instructor Preparation Transition
This Endorsement is for ASA students interested in becoming ASA 201 Instructors who are not certain that they are prepared to attend an ASA 201 IQC Instructor Qualification Clinic. Before investing in the cost of an ASA 201 IQC and incurring the expenses of travel and lodging in attending a far-away clinic, students can go to their nearest ASA Affiliate for evaluation by an ASA 211 Master Instructor, or by an ASA 204 Bareboat Cruising Instructor, as to whether they are ready to attend and ASA 201 IQC and likely to make a successful transition from ASA student to ASA-Certified Instructor.
